Parental involvement is very important to the success of the school programme and a successful partnership between home and school enables both parents and staff to share a greater knowledge of the child.

The school operates an “open door” policy for parents, as their involvement and co-operation is seen to be a crucial element in the education of their child. Each pupil has a home/school journal to encourage regular communication and the Parents Association also raises funds and organises talks for the parents of the school on a regular basis.

They were responsible for raising funds to build and equip the sensory room and also fund specialised equipment throughout the school year. The school is also supported on an ongoing basis by a very generous public many community organisations and individuals raise funds for the school, this helps pay for equipment, outings and general running costs.
