Access Cavan

Cavan 2012 aimed again to be an accessible Fleadh with efforts made to ensure that everybody could enjoy all the fun of the festival. Tuesday 14th August was designated as ‘Accessibility Day’ and a number of events were organised on that day to highlight the good work being done by many groups and associations in Cavan in the areas of disability and access.

Many of the accessible features and initiatives from the previous two years were repeated in 2012 with additional improvements added to make the festival the most inclusive to date. Such as:

• An Accessibility information and awareness stand was located in the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann Information Centre on Main Street for the duration of the festival

• An accessibility booklet was printed which contained lots of useful information for people with a disability
